Dark Matter was founded in January of 2018 by a group of women focusing on alt/indie/rock emerging and established artists. Since then, we are averaging around 2,000 new views and 5,000 impressions a week. Our mission is to provide a platform for women, non-binary humans and those in the LGBTQ+ community to prosper and develop their portfolio within the music industry.

Rachel “Cabbage” Scott is a photographer from New York City. A hobbyist turned professional,
Rachel has been taking photos all her life. Her first camera (besides disposables) was the Sony
Mavica, the floppy disk digital camera. Her bucket list includes photographing a Fall Out
Boy show, the Superbowl half-time show, and taking photos in every country of the world.
Carlynn is currently pursuing a degree in journalism at Columbia College Chicago. She hopes to use her future degree to write and publish groundbreaking content and interviews within the entertainment industry. She enjoys photography, concerts, animals, and spends much of her free time sketching and thinking up new story ideas.
Emily graduated from UMBC with a degree in Media Communication Studies. She’s a pop-punk queen and Waterparks’ number one fan. When she’s not mastering the art of photography, she’s either traveling, partaking in graphic design or playing video games.

Ashly has a bachelor's degree in Photography. She resides in Los Angeles and is from Houston, Texas. Ashly is a Warped Tour alumni (pit reporter for warped 2017) and has been photographing shows and behind the scenes since 2013. Her favorite artist and person to work with is Lights. In her free time, you can find Ash wondering through the many lands of Disney or doing production and photo work outside of the music world.
Megan graduated with her BFA in 2-Dimensional studies with a focus in photography in 2015. She loves Switchfoot and got to play bass with them once during a concert and will never get over it. Other than concerts, Megan also occasionally shoots weddings and in her free time volunteers by walking & photographing adoptable dogs at a local shelter.
Marine Eltalkhawi is a 22 year-old, self taught director, videographer, photographer, graphic designer and writer from New Jersey. She has a passion for music and always strives to enhance it in many ways visually. She also really enjoys collaborating with other creatives in the music scene and mainly, Italian food above all things
Weadee is a photographer from Toronto currently studying Political Science and Communications at the University of Windsor. She is a lover of all things music, books, animation and photography. When not working or in school, she can be found enjoying a baseball game or watching a movie with her twin sister.
Martha is a freelance photographer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she has been shooting shows since 2014 when she first covered the Vans Warped Tour. She enjoys shooting and reviewing shows from festivals, club shows and in between. Her music tastes shift between rock, indie, R&B, rap/hip-hop, and pop. By night she's attending shows or training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and by day working in the non-profit sector. Martha uses she, her, and they, them pronouns.

After being raised on the coffee and concerts in Seattle, Lulu moved to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Music Industry. She’s been shooting concerts and writing articles for more than 3 years now and is excited to dive into the music scene a little further down the coast.
Brian is a creative born on the South Side of Chicago, but relocated to Phoenix. He has a degree in Marketing and Graphic Design from Augustana College, Rock Island. His artistic interests span across music, design, animation, photography, videography, drawing, print making, sculpting, cooking- damn, you name it. If he could earn a living doing anything, it would be traveling as a designer and photographer, working with local clients. Stay weird.
