Marianas Trench flood the House of Blues Anaheim with all the feels

Updated: Jun 15, 2019

On Wednesday, June 5th, Marianas Trench closed out their Suspending Gravity tour at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. Not too far from home, the Vancouver, Canada natives made the stage theirs and flooded the entire room with Josh Ramsay’s power house vocals and incomparable high notes, an array of harmonies from Matt and Mike, and just over all raw emotion. This show was by far one of the most interactive and fun shows I've personally ever been to, as the band involved the audience in the entire show, even resulting in Josh himself climbing over the barricade, making his way to the center of the room, and performing two songs incapsulated in a circle of fans singing and dancing along with him.

Through out the entire performance, you would have never guessed that frontman Josh Ramsay was battling a case of Bronchitis, and when asked where the sickness originated from, he answered, "Oh! Patient zero? We haven't found him yet," to which the group of us he was talking to erupted into laughter. The extremely talented vocalist still hit every high note and belted every part beautifully the entirety of the show.

At the closing of the show, Josh, Matt, Mike, Ian, and guest member Royce (who played keyboard, guitar, back up vocals, and various other things), welcomed their crew on to the stage and thanked them all personally and one by one for all of their hard work and dedication to the band and tour, stating what each person did and how thankful they were for them and specifically why for each person.

This band evokes so much emotion and so much passion through their music and through their performances, even when they're sick. I highly, HIGHLY recommend finding your way to one of their shows as soon as possible. By the way, they're hitting the road fall of this year!
