Knotfest came to Atlanta (Ameris Bank Amphitheatre) on September 3rd. Slipknot's headlining North American Tour featured Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth. As Corey Taylor said during the show, this tour "represents what heavy metal is all about." Fans were ecstatic to see some of the biggest names in metal all in one night. People got to experience way more than just live music, with plenty of activities including Slipknot's history museum. The place was packed with individuals of all kinds. The pit was filled with kids that sported the gnarliest face paints in homage to the performing bands. People went haywire as soon as the artists got on stage, it quickly went from simple head-banging to crowdsurfing and walls of death. After all, is it really a rock fest if paramedics aren't a call away? Knotfest was arguably the hottest tour of the year, and if you ever get an opportunity to attend, don't you dare miss it!
